4-Nov-06 (15,904) : Winterization: Wash, Oil & Filter, change Final Gear Oil, Cylinder Oil fogging, pull battery & put on charger, drain carbs, up on center stand & Covered
12-Nov-06 : Pull Fuel Tank, remove petcock, drain fuel, spray in fogging oil, replace petcock
31-Mar-07 : Bought new Yamaha petcock, replaced on bike.

06-May-07 (16,250) : Sideswiped by van while riding with Laura. Bike went down at low speed, broke windshield, front turn signal, bent brake lever & engine guards. Road rash on bike in a few spots.

14-May-07 (16,271) : Checked out valve clearances - need 4 new shims. Fixed low tone horn.

21-May-07 (16,271) : Replaced 4 shims (2 new, 2 swapped) - took just under 1 hour.

13-Jul-07 (17,190) : Replaced both tires with Dunlop 404's. Old tires (as it turns out) were original on bike - Mfg. Date July 1981 on Rear, Feb 1983 on Front (Bridgestone Spitfire's).

It's been a long cold winter here. In fact it's still snowing. The bike has been put away since October. I did replace the petcock with a new one last week (about $80 from my local Yammarobber). It was a fair amount cheaper than a Pingel Vacuum petcock (around $225 for the petcock & adapter plate). Today I finished the first part to the Sissy Seat. It turned out real nice.


I'll have to try and add a luggage rack to it soon.
